The ECATA 2025 journey has come to an end. This year, a group of aerospace professionals from around the globe came together with a shared objective: strengthening the European aerospace industry while exploring the transformative power of “Generative AI in the Aerospace Industry”.
Over the course of several months, the group traveled to Stockholm, Munich, and Toulouse, gaining insights from leading institutions and deepening their understanding of international collaboration and innovation in aerospace.

Our participants had the opportunity of visiting Saab, one of our consortium members.
The day opened with a presentation on AI and Saab’s vision for its applications, followed by a deep dive into the GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning aircraft capabilities.
A key moment was visiting the showroom for a presentation on Missiles and Underwater Vehicles, followed by a true Top Gun experience—flying the Gripen simulator!

The ECATA programme has strengthened my personal development in an incredibly short time and has clearly shown me that a multicultural team with a wide range of different backgrounds can be a real asset to the Aerospace industry. The programme is diverse in many ways. It provides a comprehensive impression of the Aerospace industry, fosters personal development and creates wonderful friendships across Aerospace companies and countries. For me, it was a unique and unforgettable time.
Participating in ECATA is truly a privilege. It is a unique experience that combines first class lectures, seminars and industry visits with project work, customer interaction and last but not least, the chance to make new friends. Through all that, the ECATA course has provided a valuable and extensive toolbox for the future. Although challenging at times, it is an opportunity to celebrate and cherish our cultural differences and likenesses, all united through our passion for European aerospace.
ECATA for me was the people. Stimulating lecturers from different aerospace industries and inspiring delegates to learn from. How often you have the time to take a 3 months pausa from the daily life and concentrate on learning? Soft skills, trending Aerospace topics, cultural challengues, industrials visits etc were part of the extensive agenda. I feel privileged to have been part of it in 2022 and now to be a part of the lasting professional ECALAS network.
